In 1995 the Third Order of Our Lady of Monte do Carmo in Recife city celebrated its 300 years. A convent with so many years had a lot to celebrate, besides the occasion celebrations, the restoration of the fence and gate was opened, held in three months.

With the recovery, the convent has a new face of conservation, appropriate for the moment. Task performed with care, praised by researcher Leonardo Dantas Silva and the architect José Luiz Mota Menezes thus defined: "The Jobson Figueiredo work is one of the best conducted in Pernambuco, with national proficiency it is excellent since the submission of the restoration project, which includes a thorough study of what will be restored, so there is no disagreement with the original."
