In
2015, commemorating the 85th anniversary of Graf Zeppelin's visit to
Recife, Jobson Figueiredo release the book "Zeppelin in
Recife" and did an exhibition. Written together with the historian Dirceu Marroquim, the book brings 30 rare images of the passage of the Zeppelin in Recife. Published in postcard format, these cards that can be detached, the book has an impeccable finishing; he texts are in three languages: Portuguese, German and English and can be purchased in our store. The launch and exhibition were held at the Museum of the City of Recife and had a huge popular participation. Historians, professors, scholars, and curious people crowded the
showroom and watched closely the movement around the fantastic Zeppelin
airship.
In
addition, May 22, which is the date of Zeppelin's first visit, also
hosted festivities organized by Jobson Figueiredo in 2015. Educational
and recreational activities, toys, snacks, tents, presentations and more
have marked the visitors' day. Everything was organized in the Zeppelin Tower itself, located in the Jiquiá neighborhood and had a great community presence. A little about the event can be seen in this video.
