Government's palace

The Campo das Princesas Palace is located in Santo Antonio neighborhood in Recife and has the function of the State of Pernambuco Palace. Its grandiosity as urban building is divided (around the Praça da República) with the Santa Isabel Theater and the Palace of Justice. The building, of neoclassical architecture, required more than two years of work in order to have a complete restoration. An operation that was performed in stages, without disturbing the office work routine.

The steps included the restoration of the main staircase, two old lifts (still working), three large gates and the front windows, nine other smaller gates and windows of the inner courtyard, chandelier and lamps. Was also recovered the large stained glass, over 100 meters of fence, posts, gates outside and all its painting.

Besides recovering the damaged structure, Jobson also had to make some pieces that no longer existed. "In the case of gates, for example, some small decorative elements affixed to the iron felt with rust", he told to Diário de Pernambuco (daily newspaper) in 2001 at the conclusion of one of the stages.
