In 1997 the Coat of Arms of the State of Pernambuco was revitalized. The State Coat of Arms found itself without a methodology for official production, and it was made randomly, losing the characterization that the symbols should maintain. Based on historical studies, the coat was updated and won an official formal composition. Duly registered with the Archaeological Institute, Geographic History of Pernambucano (IAHGP) and publication in the Official Diary, it was instituted the correct and respectful way of the symbol.
